One thing that’s always been somewhat of a strange phenomenon to me, is how often friends, or people I know, will get flustered or intimidated by the prospect of cooking a meal for me simply because I’m a chef.

Is actually something I’ve found to be common with other chefs I’ve worked with too.

Honestly, for the vast majority of us, we often really don’t care that much about how something cooked for us out of a professional setting comes out, it honestly more about the thought and such put into it that matters.

You’re not paid to cook it for us in a commercial kitchen. Most mistakes will generally be forgiven.

For me at least, outside of work, my diet is crap. If someone’s going to take the effort to cook something for me, you can bet I’m going to take them up on it.
