If you keep using a door wrong, it isn’t
your fault. According to Don Norman,
when someone continually uses the
same door incorrectly, it’s the fault of
the door. In 1988, he was the first to
popularize the idea that the function
of a door should be obvious, and
poorly designed ones are now called
“Norman Doors” in his honor.
