A group of Native American Choctaws in 1847 came together to raise money for the Irish people during the great famine. It had been just 16 years since the Choctaw people had experienced the Trail of Tears, where they had faced starvation themselves. It was an amazing gesture.
The gift is remembered in Ireland. The plaque on Dublin’s Mansion House that honors the Choctaw contribution reads: “Their humanity calls us to remember the millions of human beings throughout our world today who die
of hunger and hunger-related illness in a world of plenty.” [x]

I mean seriously, if they shrank the eye… or maybe at least placed it better… it would make a decent plush… but as is… it looks like she has a giant eye insider her nostril… it’s just all out… well… creepy.
