At least he got people of different regions in there other than all white, I mean it looks like they have 4-6 women to balance the other 6 male models. WHEN IS THE LAST TIME you saw a game with equal female models to male models plus everyone has different skin tones?
I can forgive the outfits because they are for the most part 80% covered up and not in plate-kinis.
What do people expect these women to wear? The male characters have skin tight shit too. You just don’t see it because they’re a gorilla, an assassin in a trench coat, a robot, and a tanky dude.
Do people not realize that most skin tight suits are made to fit under more armor? Could they have given Mercy a breast plate akin to the usual where it’d squish her breasts? Yeah. But they didn’t. They decided to go with one that made them snugly fit. Could they have not given her a large breast size? Sure. But hey, I don’t mind large breasted female characters. I have large breasts myself and would personally choose whatever helps them fit snug.
Widowmaker’s skin is relative to the color of her suit, so at first I had no idea that it was showing cleavage. I had to actually REALLY look because she doesn’t have cleavage. Like at all. They are REGULAR BREASTS and I would want them to breathe too.
I think people aren’t thinking about the characters and what they would personally choose. Yes, Blizzard created them and can fix their attitude on what they want to dress. But ever thought to yourself that maybe the character- with a good back story and personality- WANTED to wear that?
Jfc, let women wear what they want to wear. I mean I’m drooling over Reaper, and sexualizing him in my head. And he’s even wearing a trench coat to hide those possible buns! People will sexualize anything they want to and how they want. Why else would rule 34 exist?
Also, I love how Tracer isn’t in their examples. Tracer is wearing like.. the best outfit.

Also way to leave out chunks of the story. The characters Chris and his daughter were speaking about in the original anecdote are Alexstraza and Ysera’s human forms (which I, as I lady, love to pieces);
Alexstraza is wearing a thong and thigh highs and some other finery. Compared to these old designs, the designs in Overwatch are much more conservative.
Not to mention, I really wish people would stop pretending or assuming that it’s only guys who enjoy skimpily clad or sexualized female characters. I am a straight woman, and I love, love, love slutmog without a hint of irony.
Believe it or not, some of us ladies also like to play idealized version of our selves in our fantasy worlds! 😀 Sh-sh-shocker, I know? Someone playing a fantasy game to escape reality? Unheard of~
