I appreciate the support people give by making a public sign of their stance, but I feel there’s no need to force a public display on people.
They could lose connections with less than tolerant friends and family who they need to be connected to still, they could just not like rainbows. They could feel like it’s an extra bit of effort that only serves to temporarily signal a support they’ve already displayed, or they could just not support it.
Fine. That’s all fine. The point of freedom is not to be forced into things like that.
Freedom also means people can show their support if they want to, and that we can get married and live our lives how we want to, as long as we aren’t hurting others.
