Ben Foster confirmed he is Medivh. and based off the small amount of information he gave a rough estimate of where in the lore the movie takes place can be worked out.

Ooohh I didn’t know he’d confirmed his role. The storyline is about the Second War, right? (That was the Orc invasion wasn’t it, I always get the first and second war mixed up)
