A new toy I backed on kickstarter last year has  finally arrived

this little beauty is a SCIO. It’s a pocket molecular sensor. or put more simply, a spectrometer.

a lot of what it can do is still be built (a lot of it’s database will be croudsourced from users)
but so far a lot of options for foods can be done, as well as various drugs.

but a lot of the applets are a lot more specific, which is fantastic

I’m really looking forward to seeing what I can do with this as the database grows.
