Fallout 4 (v1.5) Protip: You can now throw any object you are “holding” with the reload button. The longer you hold down the key, the higher your Strength, and the lighter the object, the further it will go. This can make moving certain objects into (or out) of settlements MUCH easier; for example, throwing all the stuff near Vault 111 like the traffic cones & tires down to Sanctuary for scrapping purposes. It also means you don’t have to do that “spin + move + release” momentum trick with tossing objects anymore. It’s a small, undocumented feature, but welcome nonetheless. Some folks over on Reddit and elsewheres noticed it during the latest beta, but I’m just mentioning it now since it’s officially part of the game.
And uh, in case you’re wondering HOW to “hold” objects, keep the “use/interact” key held down while pointing at something and you’ll grab it. That feature wasn’t removed from prior games, just changed (it was a seperate key in Fallout 3 and New Vegas); likely to condense the commands down a bit as there’s more of them.
