Raubana’s stand-alone TSSSF game is coming along beautifully! We’re very excited to see it come to fruition!!

Do you want to see it progress faster?! So do we! It turns out, he has a GoFundMe for living expenses while he works on this!* He’s barely asking for anything; I think you should all throw your support at him!

* Please note, he did not ask us to post this; we found it on our own and asked his permission to post it. We feel everyone would be very interested in making this a reality and he needs more support!

I used to be way into the brony fandom. I listened to music, talked to friends about it, marathoned entire seasons, went to season finale parties, the whole shebang. This past summer I kinda strayed away from it, and I got into Tumblr. A lot of people on Tumblr are VERY anti-brony, and a lot of them are people I respect and follow. So it was really weird seeing these people I know and enjoy talking to say things about the fandom I’m in that just aren’t true.

There was a convention in town this weekend, Nightmare Nights Dallas. It’s like 20 minutes from my house, so of course I had to go, despite my recently more negative view of the fandom.

And I had a freaking ton of fun. Everybody there was really nice, there was a decent ratio of males to females in attendance (I didn’t do a survey or anything, but if I had to guess I’d say it was about 60/40 male-to-female), and there wasn’t a single fedora in sight. Not a mention of MRA anything, none of that bull. That’s not who bronies are. The whole point of the show, and the point that bronies try to make, is that friendship and kindness are vital to good relationships with people, and that your main goal in life should be to do whatever you can to make yourself and others happy. We sang songs, we told jokes, we made cheesy references to each other; it was an all-around good time. The voice actresses and writers there had a good time too, we got to ask them interesting questions about the show, and I even got a couple of signatures from them.

Bronies aren’t bad. There’s a vocal minority out there who are douchebags, but most of us just want to have fun.

And yeah, there’s a lot of porn out there. But I’ve found that if I don’t search for it, I tend not to find it, even on the specifically brony-devoted websites. That shouldn’t be an issue.

The point I’m trying to make is that I’ve missed being a brony. I’m getting back into the community, and if you want to stop following me for it, then go for it. I’d prefer it if you continued being my friend, but I understand if you’re not comfortable with me. I can’t imagine this post actually changed anyone’s minds, but if I made you think just a little, that’s enough for me.
