This is not a new feature. Software has been available to do this since Windows XP, but it is now integrated into Windows itself. Windows 7 allows parents to monitor application usage and time spent. Windows 8 and 10 allow parents to block and monitor internet usage also.
It requires your parents to set up a “family” account and designate you as a child account. You will get notified if this is the case when you login – it warns you if you’re being monitored.
All you’d have to do to get around this is to create a new account. That’s literally it.
That said if you do not own your PC, do not assume anything you do on it is private.
I’m loving the “this could be literally life threatening” though, some excellent shit stirring action, 8/10, points removed for poor execution.
