Chicago-based artist Justin Gershenson-Gates, also known as A Mechanical Mind constructs small steampunk insects by meticulously soldering together gears, springs and other watch parts. The robotic crawlers posses an intriguing quality, which unites life and machinery. Their long, thin metallic legs, fragile wings and and clicking noise compose the perfect scenario for a science fiction horror film.
