( cupcakedrawings, I hear you wanted these as character options.)
Want a darker skinned version of Sin’dorei in your game? WELL, THIS IS THE PATCH FOR YOU. Due to the nature of WoW modding, it replaces skin tone 5 so every character using that skin tone will now have the darker skin. I -think- it works for NPCs as well.
How do you get this, you ask? I’m about to tell you.
Backup all of your executables (WoW.exe and WoW-64.exe)
Drag and drop the contents of the rar file into your World of Warcraft directory.
Overwrite the exes if it prompts you.
And that’s all there is to it! I cannot stress enough that you backup your exe files.
holy shit
the time has come
I seem to remember some kerfuffle in the past regarding players modding the appearance of their toon, but those were admittedly all “adult” mods like big ol tiddies so I don’t know if that had something to do with it. I’d advise caution either way, but this is still really neat!
This is cool, but I think Shithowdy is right that this might break the ToS. I would use it if I weren’t highly concerned about that :<
This is definitely a violation of the WoW ToS, and can get your account banned. these kinds of “mods” alter the actual game files, and are detected by warden.
They may not ban the account right away, but you WILL get banned
This is demonstrating why you absolutely do not pour water on a grease fire.
holy shit
Okaaaay. If any of you actually have a grease fire in the kitchen put the lid on the pan. It will suffocate the flames. Don’t pour water on it, and don’t freak out. Cook safely!
Or throw flour on it to smother it.
/quick safety announcement
NO, DO NOT USE FLOUR, DO NOT USE FLOUR TO SMOTHER A FIRE.
YOU HAVE TO USE BAKING SODA.
Throwing flour into a fire can cause it to combust and make the fire worse because FLOUR/SUGAR IS FLAMMABLE. One cup of flour into a grease fire can have the explosive force of dynamite.
The reason you use baking soda is that it releases carbon dioxide when heated, and CO2 is a fire suppressant.

I seriously hope people didn’t believe putting flour onto fire would put it out :-/
We used to use flour to create fireballs when I was an apprentice
You take a normal person, give them anonymity and an audience, and they will behave like a total fuckwad.
The thing with fandoms is that within the fandom, you have an audience, and a degree of anonymity – Enough to make you think no one can get you through the screen, and not enough so that you don’t get recognition.
The audience and the distance of the internet and/or the protection of a group makes people bold, it makes them crave judgement from others, good or bad, and thus it makes them do stupid things.
The internet and society rarely rewards people for being good and generous, I don’t really find it surprising that negative attitudes are more prevalent.
