It makes me so crazy when artists advertise for commissions just by making a text post that says “Hey I do commissions message me”
Because reblogging that around won’t mean anything to people who aren’t already familiar with your work

I want us all to be successful but you guys gotta work on marketing yourselves more effectively, come on.
This is actually a big thing too.
I get a lot of commissions, if I can’t gauge what I’ll get for how much, I’m much less likely to contact the person regarding a job.
Having a proper post/page advertising your prices and work makes a huge difference (I’ve commissioned a couple of ppl off that alone)
Also, for all that is holy, if your price list is NSFW. PLEASE, PLEASE! Make sure you have a SFW version, because no matter how much I may like your work, I’m not going to be sharing a huge post full of NSFW images on my primary blog.

This is brilliant. I specifically buy razors and shaving cream marketed to men because it’s at least 30% cheaper in the US, and yet the quality is way better.
