the pain is real

Doesn’t anyone do the barrier thing where you keep a paper of some kind under your resting hand to prevent smearing?

I do the barrier thing and I still get stuff all over my hands.
It’s a curse. 🙁

I really only have a huge problem when I’m working with charcoal pencils.

I work with markers, ink, and pastels a lot.
Pastels are a hassle and it probably doesn’t help that mine are super shitty.

I love oil pastels, I remember when we called them craypas in school.

This is my life, even for writing (it’s a real pain being left handed)
Smudgeguard gloves are awesome however.

So, I had a interesting experience when I arrived back into town today.

The perth international airport is undergoing some major upgrades, has been for a while.
Part of this is new signals at the pedestrian crossings. These new signals have a countdown telling people how long they have until they can cross.

Was in the taxi heading home, and  some moron decided to run across during the “do not walk” stage, which promptly resulted in him getting hit by the cab, knocking him to the ground (no injuries, aside from his ego)
When he got up, he decided to begin yelling at the taxi driver, accusing him of running the light and that he still had time to cross.
Fortunately, a couple of nearby  security guards saw the whole thing and basically called him out on his screw up, Stating there were multiple witnesses that he was in the wrong.
