I’ve been looking into getting an embroidery machine for some time now. Nothing major, just a basic model, mostly to do eyes and cutie marks for plushies and costumes.

It’s a major pain to try and find any locally (seriously, even a 15yr old second hand machine is over $700. wtf) and my own searches weren’t giving me any luck.. until now.

I’ve just found that if I can manage to get my housemate to pay the money he owes, I can afford a Brother SE425.
This actually makes me really happy, because digitizing designs, and having them embroidered is about $100 a pop ($12 for the actual embroidery, $80 for digitizing) So this’ll pay for itself in short order (plus, I’ll be able to start making plushies, which I’ve been leaning towards for some time)
